New to Curling league prepares for second half

After a very successful first half, Michener Hill’s inaugural New to Curling league is preparing for a regular league schedule starting in January.

Thirty-one curlers new to the sport took to the ice in October, participating in a nine-week program of skills and strategy instruction. The first half wraps up on December 16.

The second half starts on Monday, January 6 with a regular league schedule of games. Currently, the league is looking for 4 additional players to fill out the eighth team.

If you are relatively new to curling (first or second year, or a recent returnee after a few years away from the sport), and are interested in curling on Monday nights, contact Michener Hill Curling Club as soon as possible.

Registration fee for Monday nights is $150 per person. Currently, the league plans on a nine-week round robin, followed by three weeks of playoffs, wrapping up the final week of March.
