New to curling inter-club games

Members of the New to Curling programs at the Michener Hill Curling Club and the Red Deer Curling Centre engaged in the first-ever inter-club opportunity to close out 2025.

Sixteen curlers, combined between both clubs, took to the ice on Tuesday, December 16 at the Red Deer and Thursday, December 18 at Michener Hill. They took part in some friendly competition against each other and, for some, had their first experience playing a new club.

Thank you to all the curlers who participated, as well as Darcy at the RDCC, for coming with the idea and helping coordinate a very successful curling opportunity for both clubs.

For anyone looking for a league in which to curl after Christmas, check out the Thursday Night New to Curling league on Thursdays at Michener Hill. If you are new to the sport, or have just a little bit of experience, this league is perfect for you.
